Time for a challenge

I've not taken part in a challenge for a couple of weeks so thought it was time to do so.

It's another one from the CAS Colours & Sketches blog. This time a sketch.

This is the card that I came up with.

As I added this photo, I realised that my curves are going the other way. Oh well,  hopefully it's still acceptable.

All of the stamps come from the Number of Years stamp set.

I thought the card looked a little simple and masculine (nothing wrong with that), but decided that I should make it a little more feminine. This is what I came up with.

It's amazing how the addition of two little flowers can completely change the look of a card.

I then took it one stage further by changing the numbers and adding a bit more bling.

The numbers were cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper using the Large Numbers Framelit Dies.

I love how you can take a simple idea and by making small changes and additions can completely change the look.

Please feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think.

  1. Great progression through your three stages of the card! Thanks for playing at CC&S.

  2. Love the step-ups - the final card is awesome with the glitter. Great use of the sketch! Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!

  3. I really like your interpretation of the sketch - it works beautifully. It's a really witty card, I love it. I love the blinded up version, too! Thanks for joining us again at CC&S. Caro x
