CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #188

I'm just back from a 2500 mile trip - 2419.9 miles to be precise. We drove from Jacksonville in Florida to San Diego in California, basically from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. I had hoped to share photos while we were travelling but the internet access was very flaky. I'll will share some of them soon as I'm hoping to Project Life some of them.

Anyway, I've not been able to craft for over a week and couldn't wait to give the latest CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge a go.

This week it's a sketch one.

I'm still in the USA so my supplies are rather limited but this is what I managed to come up with.

As you can see, I rotated my card so that it was portrait rather then landscape. I used the Flower Patch stamp set to decorate the oval (the sentiment comes from there too) in some of the 2015-2017 In Colors.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the piece of Mint Macaron before running it through my Big Shot with the Fluttering embossing folder. This is a great of incorporating an effect without the need to raise the sentiment.

I also decorated the inside too (there's a surprise).

As always, please feel free to leave a comment.
